Outlier Ventures and peaq, with capital partner 1kx, have launched the second DePIN Base Camp accelerator, selecting five pioneering teams to build decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePINs) across critical sectors. Each team receives $200,000 in funding, mentorship, and access to Web3 infrastructure. The cohort includes Aira Labs (air quality), SkyX (weather forecasting), Beacon Protocol (private AI data), Combinder (energy income), and Decen Space (satellite communications), showcasing the growing maturity and real-world relevance of DePIN applications.
Five startups are building decentralized networks for air quality, weather, private data, energy, and satellite communications.
The program offers funding, mentorship, and infrastructure support to accelerate deployment of real-world DePIN solutions.
Developers have chances to build DePINs on peaq’s Layer-1 blockchain, optimized for machine economy use cases. Integrating AI with decentralized data collection, as seen in SkyX and Beacon Protocol, enables smarter, privacy-preserving networks. Projects like Combinder and Aira Labs offer models for monetizing everyday devices and community-driven insights.
